Faces of IBTX: Alex Napier, Marketing Intern
July 28, 2017 – Alex joined IBTX as an intern for the marketing department this summer. As this has been his first real-world experience with the world of marketing, Alex has been happy to help the department with every aspect of what the job entails.
Whether that means improving his writing skills with social media assignments, blog posts, and newsletters; learning what makes a good design by helping create seminar invites, event flyers, and banners for IBTX’s upcoming golf tournament; or learning what life is like in the business world by attending meetings with clients, event planning meetings, and a meeting with IBTX’s innovation team. These experiences have solidified to him that this is the career path he truly wants to follow and hopes to have the know-how he needs to easily take the next step in his life after graduation.
Alex is currently in his last year of school at West Virginia University and hopes to graduate with a bachelor’s in Advertising. While there, Alex has been involved with the University orchestra for 3 years, Phi Mu Alpha music fraternity for 3 years, and the University choir for 2 years with which he traveled to Ireland with this summer for a week-long tour promoting American music throughout Cork, Killarney, and Dublin.
