Traditional Multiple Employer Plans VS New Multiple Employer Plan (MEP)

With a traditional approach to an MEP, employers who join the plan have to be a part of an association or in the same industry as each other, and additionally have to have the same plan provisions across the board. With IBTX’s new MEP offering, any employer can join any plan, and each employer can have their own unique plan provisions. Also note, employers are not subjected to the “bad apple” rule with each individual employer able to request their own 5500 form if they wish.
