Risk Management Agency IBTX Expands Footprints into Houston
Houston, TX, August 13, 2018 – Acrisure agency partner IBTX has hired two additional team members in the Houston area. Warren Spiwak, Partner, and J’Mella Hinkston, Human Resources Consultant, have joined Pedro Mercado, Vice President of HSE & Risk Management as the new team servicing the Houston area. The expansion allows IBTX to better service local organizations and provides a foundation for future growth.
On July 2nd, Warren along with his agency Policy League (www.policyleague.com) became an official Acrisure Partner through IBTX. Warren has worked with a multitude of industries in his 15 years in insurance including restaurants, habitational, commercial real estate, nonprofits, franchisees, healthcare and private equity groups. He is highly connected within the Houston area and specializes in creating industry-driven, out-of-the-box programs that are scalable, easy to manage and ahead of the competition.
J’Mella has an extensive background in human resource and risk management administration, which helps her mitigate claims abuse, experience modifiers and safety concerns. She understands the business needs of executives and helps build organizational cultures.
“I have hands on experience with the HR and Risk Management arena which gives me a different vantage point,” explains J’Mella. “I aim to identify where the overlaps may occur when dealing with safety, worker’s compensation, FMLA, ADA and employee relations.” J’Mella holds her Professional in Human Resources (PHR), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
Pedro has over 20 years’ experience working directly in the field of risk management. He is experienced in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) citation abatement, and has worked with businesses and their counsel to successfully navigate OSHA hearings, possible citation recourse, and subsequent remediation plan development.
